SUPPORT MANAGER: CARELINE (MATERNITY COVER)

Family Carers Ireland (FCI) is _the _national charity supporting over
*, * family carers across
the country who dedicate their lives to caring for loved ones such as
children or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities, frail
older people, those with palliative care needs or those living with
chronic illnesses or addiction. We provide a range of supports and
services for family carers nationally from our local support centres.
The Support Manager: Careline – Maternity cover will work with the
National Lead for Partnerships & Innovation to provide effective
communication to callers to the national Careline through effective
telephone and email information channels.
Family Carers Ireland is currently recruiting a _SUPPORT MANAGER:
CARELINE – MATERNITY COVER. _
The Support Manager: Careline – Maternity cover will be responsible
for answering, logging and reporting on calls and emails fielded
through the Careline through the Organisation’s Client Record
Management (CRM) system and for providing reports to the National Lead
for Partnerships & Innovation.
The Support Manager: Careline – Maternity cover will support
recruitment, training and rostering of Careline staff/volunteers to
ensure that the Careline is appropriately covered.
ROLE CRITERIA:
The successful candidate should possess the following ESSENTIAL
criteria.
* Must be educated to QQI Level 6 or above in a relevant area. e.g.
management, counselling, psychology, social care, social work,
community development.
* Excellent ICT skills with experience of using Client Record
Management systems.
* Ideally the candidate will have direct experience of working on a
help-line and experience managing staff and/or volunteers in a social
care setting.
* Past or current experience in a caring role or working directly to
support the needs of family carers in a social care / community
setting would prove beneficial.
* A self-motivated person who is committed to supporting Family
Carers and the mission of Family Carers Ireland.
* A strong understanding regarding rights and entitlements for
family carers and other issues where family carers may require
information, guidance and support.
* Excellent communication skills with a focus on the ability to
listen.
* Ability to deal with difficult situations including strong
emotions.
* Excellent organisational skills with an ability to multitask and
prioritise issues as they arise.
* Excellent command of English and ability to write reports and
compile tables of data.
* Flexibility in attitude and approach to the job.
* Excellent attention to detail and customer service.
* A willingness to learn and a desire to implement a culture of
continuous improvement within their team.
* A willingness to help out other colleagues.
* A strong work ethic is essential.
* Excellent people skills with an ability to work well with others.
TERMS & CONDITIONS:
Specified purpose contract for maternity leave cover (**Apply on the
website** hours per week; Monday - Friday).
The successful candidate will adhere to a hybrid model of working i.e.
from their home location and from a Family Carers Ireland centre close
to their home location in the designated area. Flexibility to travel
to meetings as required is essential. The remuneration for this role
includes an annual salary of € *,**Apply on
the website** and access to a defined contribution pension scheme. The
annual leave entitlement is * days per year.
